Mapua is the poster child of redemption. Sadly we discovered that although it's promoted as clothing optional this was only in the pool, sauna, cabin and about 20m in front of the beach.the bed was original from the 1970's along with the threadbare carpet.

Mapua leisure park beach is a private beach overlooking tasman bay. Ideal base to visit abel tasman & kahurangi national parks. Situated on waterfront also has motels, cabins, camp sites (with & without power).
